Dance (P1 – P5)

Curriculum Objectives
The Dance curriculum provides opportunities for SISHK students to explore and express moods and ideas symbolically through movement. It develops physical, creative, imaginative, emotional and intellectual capacities as well as a range of technical skills and the ability to improve their performance.

Through the exploration in different types of dance, to develop a broad range of personal learning and thinking skills that help children improve their performance in school and life.

Teacher Bio

Bobbi Chen was a professional dance artist from Singapore and received her Master degree in Dance Choreography in Hong Kong. She had toured internationally and performed various memorable roles. Bobbi had assumed many memorable performances and commented as an exquisite and dramatic performer by Singapore media and Arts critic.

As an Educator, Bobbi is also actively involved in several arts outreach programs such as Community project for low-income at-risk Youth (Singapore), Arts Appreciation workshop with the senior citizen; Art Education Program in School as well as other social and cultural organizations with the company in Singapore. 

Bobbi has enjoyed collaborating with filmmakers, visual artists, architects, composers, scientists and various media artists. Her creative works are Tabula Bursa (2010), under NUS Dance Festival Singapore, Connect and Detect (2012), a commissioned work by the Singapore Contact Dance Festival, collaborative productions Sky of Nepal (2013); Du-The Cycle of Life (2013); The Act of Memory (2014); Dance film The Post Modern Aunt (2014); What if (2015)Voices, the Artist an Mentor (2015)Being Mortal (2015); Intersection Voices (2016) and to name a few. Bobbi has also Choreography and Performed in several Feature and Dance films.
