Science Lab Technician

Candidates should preferably:

  • Minimum GCE ‘A’ Levels (or equivalent) with Science Subjects or appropriate field of study
  • Good command of the English Language and be able to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Has experience working in a school environment or laboratory preferred
  • Has interest working with young children
  • Able to work in an organized and systematic manner
  • Able to work independently and being resourceful (e.g. Improvise alternative methods yet meeting the objectives)

Main duties to include but not limited to

  • Provide general laboratory, logistical and operational support
  • Assist teachers in managing and maintaining the science labs, as well as keeping them in good working order by completing inventory, replenishing necessary supplies, cleaning equipment and completing administrative tasks (making copies, etc.) as necessary
  • Provide administrative support for science teachers
  • Prepare materials and apparatus for experiments in Life and Physical Sciences. This includes working with slides, models, dissection specimens/trays/tools, dye sets and other equipment
  • Assist with teaching labs by supervising lab sessions, recording grades, etc
  • Other duties as assigned
