Communications Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Promote the school’s reputation as a premier international school in Hong Kong
     
  • Enhance and protect the school’s brand
     
  • Research and implement marketing and communications strategies and operational plans
     
  • Manage the annual marketing, advertising and publications calendar for student recruitment purposes

  • Plan and implement the communications content calendar to enhance stakeholder engagement

  • Report on effectiveness of marketing, advertising and communications campaigns

  • Manage the timely publication of updates to the school’s communication channels such as the website and social media channels. Assist in market research

  • Co-ordinate events related to stakeholder engagement and the student recruitment

  • Co-ordinate the production of student recruitment and communications publications.

Requirements:

  • University degree holder in marketing communications, public relations or related disciplines

  • Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese. SISHK is a bilingual school where English and Chinese (Putonghua) are the languages of instruction

  • Good IT skills - Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as desktop publishing programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign

  • A thorough knowledge of contemporary marketing methods

  • The ability to utilise marketing technologies to market effectively, specifically digital marketing skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Work experience - at least 3 to 5 year’s relevant work experience

  • Experience in the education sector is not essential but is an advantage

Competitive remuneration and benefits will be offered to suitable candidates. More experienced applicants may be considered for an Assistant Manager position.
